Byborna återvänder

Det har senaste dagarna varit lugnt i byn. En del av byborna har börjat återvända till sin älskade by, trots att det är mycket farligt. Och idag terrorbombades byn återigen av den ryska armén som ligger på andra sidan floden.
Igår förstördes bageriet i Beryslav, kommunstaden en mil från byn, som förser byborna med bröd.
Föreningen gör i samarbetet med hjälporganisationerna Direct Ukraine och insamlingsstiftelsen Sverige-Ukraina en nödhjälpsresa till Gammalsvenskbys sjukhus i Beryslav i nästa vecka. Sjukhusets intensivvårdsavdelning bombades för ett par veckor sedan. Ryssland fortsätter ogenerat att begå krigsbrott, som att bomba sjukvårdsinrättningar. Sjukhuset behöver hjälp med utrustning och mediciner. Det är mycket svårt att bedriva verksamheten i frontzonen, men personalen håller ut och vi fortsätter att stötta dem. Sjukhuset är viktigt för invånarna i Gammalsvenskby, då även deras vårdcentral och poliklinik är förstörd av Rysslands terrorbombningar.

It has been quiet in the village in recent days. Some of the villagers have started to return to their beloved village, even though it is very dangerous. And today the village was terror bombed again by the Russian army which is on the other side of the river.
Yesterday, the bakery in Beryslav, the municipal town a mile from the village, which supplies the villagers with bread, was destroyed.
The association, in collaboration with the aid organizations Direct Ukraine and the fundraising foundation Sweden-Ukraine, is making an emergency aid trip to Gammalsvenskby’s hospital in Beryslav next week. The hospital’s intensive care unit was bombed a couple of weeks ago. Russia continues unabashedly to commit war crimes, such as bombing medical facilities. The hospital needs help with equipment and medicines. It is very difficult to run the business in the front zone, but the staff are persevering and we continue to support them. The hospital is important to the residents of Gammalsvenskby, as their health center and outpatient clinic have also been destroyed by Russia’s terrorist bombings.
