Soldat från byn svårt skadad

Läget är mycket svårt i byn. Ryska armén hårda beskjutning av Gammalsvenskby fortsätter dag och natt. Den ryska offensiven riktar även in sig på bilar och humanitär hjälp. Vi har inte fått rapporter om fler skadade.
En soldat från byn har skadats svårt vid fronten i Bakhmut och förlorat båda sina underben. Vi arbetar för att försöka hitta vägar att hjälpa honom med rehabilitering och proteser. Vi samarbetar bland med International Medic Corps Sweden.
Vår hjälpsändning med Sven Bjerlestam och Nils-Arne Persson har kommit hela vägen fram till Kryvyj Rih. Gränspassagen hade gått mycket smidigt. De har med en minibuss Ford Transit som ska stanna i byn, samt ett stort elverk för att få igång centralvattnet, 25 rullar byggplast och EKG-apparater till vårdcentral och Berislavs sjukhus.
Våra chaufförer kommer inte kunna köra ner hela vägen då säkerhetsläget är så dåligt, så de lastar av i Kryyv Rih.

Report Gammalsvenskby 22 February
The situation is very difficult in the village. The Russian army’s heavy shelling of Gammalsvenskby continues day and night. The Russian offensive also targets cars and humanitarian aid. We have not received reports of further injuries.
A soldier from the village has been badly injured at the front in Bakhmut and lost both his lower legs. We are working to try to find ways to help him with rehabilitation and prostheses. We cooperate, among other things, with International Medic Corps Sweden.
Our aid shipment with Sven Bjerlestam and Nils-Arne Persson has made it all the way to Kryvyj Rih. The border crossing had gone very smoothly. They have a Ford Transit minibus that will stop in the village, as well as a large power plant to get the central water running, 25 rolls of construction plastic and EKG machines for the health center and Berislav’s hospital.
Our drivers will not be able to drive all the way down as the security situation is so bad, so they unload in Kryyv Rih.
