Rapport från Gammalsvenskby 28 november
Vi har mycket lite direktkontakt med byn för närvarande. Det har inte funnits el sedan den 19 oktober. Och därmed är det svårt med internet och vatten. Och mobiltäckningen är mycket svag. Det är mycket stressande att inte kunna ha kontakt med nära och kära.
Byn utsätts för rysk granatbeskjutning då och då. Senast igår.
Flera barnfamiljer har lämnat byn och åkt till släktingar. Kanske kommer också ålderdomshemmet att evakueras till västra Ukraina, då det är svårt att tillse de gamlas behov.
Vägarna till byn är mycket svårframkomliga. De två belagda vägarna, Kungsvägen och gamla vägen till Beryslav är söndersprängda, så bitvis måste man köra på åkervägar, som snabbt blir leriga med gyttjehål när det regnar. Det går inte heller att köra utanför vägarna, då risken för att då köra på minor är stor. Det börjar bli ont om mat i butikerna, då butikerna bara fungerar till viss del.
Ivan och Mykola har delat ut 255 matpaket till byborna från den första hjälpsändningen.
Vi har en hjälpsändning från Sverige med 2 bilar lastade med teknik för internetuppkoppling, elverk, mediciner, sjukvårdsmaterial, byggplast för reparationer mm. De är nu i Kryvyj Rih och avvaktar säkerhetsläget och vägframkomligheten. Denna hjälpsändning har gjort vi tillsammans med hjälporganisationen Blågula Bilen.
Sven och Anders har kört de 160 milen från Gdansk till Kryvy Rih, norr om byn.
Föreningen jobbar aktivt först med en akut plan, sedan en mer långsiktig och återuppbyggnad.

Report from Gammalsvenskby 28 November
We have very little direct contact with the village at present. There has been no electricity since October 19. And thus it is difficult with the internet and water. And mobile coverage is very weak. It is very stressful not being able to have contact with loved ones.
The village is subjected to Russian shelling from time to time. Last yesterday.
Several families with children have left the village and gone to relatives. Perhaps the retirement home will also be evacuated to western Ukraine, as it is difficult to take care of the needs of the elderly.
The roads to the village are very difficult to access. The two paved roads, Kungsvägen and the old road to Beryslav are torn up, so in parts you have to drive on farm roads, which quickly become muddy with potholes when it rains. It is also not possible to drive off-road, as the risk of running into mines is high. There is a shortage of food in the shops, as the shops only function to a certain extent.
Ivan and Mykola have distributed 255 food packages to the villagers from the first aid shipment.
We have an aid shipment from Sweden with 2 cars loaded with technology for internet connection, power plant, medicines, medical supplies, construction plastic for repairs, etc. They are now in Kryvyi Rih, awaiting the security situation and road accessibility. We have made this aid shipment together with the aid organization Blågula Bilen.
The association works actively first with an emergency plan, then a more long-term and reconstruction plan.
