Rapport från Gammalsvenskby 15 november
Vi har äntligen fått direktkontakt med byborna!
De hälsar så mycket till er alla!
Invånarna i byn är mycket lättade över att vara befriade. De har fortfarande ingen el och därmed inte vatten. Men läget är också mycket osäkert. De ukrainska trupperna finns utanför byn medan de ryska trupperna är på andra sidan floden Dnipro. Så det sker beskjutning från båda sidor sker över byn. Några granater har slagit ner i byn. Ett par hus har träffats och minst en man har blivit dödad. En del bybor har därför valt att lämna.
I söndags körde en familj, som var på väg från byn på en mina. Familjen, därav en liten pojke skadades ordentligt. De ligger nu på sjukhus och kommer att få hjälp från vår insamling.
Vi samarbetar nu med hjälporganisationen OperationAid som finns på plats vid frontlinjen. Vi har pratat med Tilde där, som kommer att köra in en lite större hjälpsändning idag, med förnödenheter som byborna behöver.
De är mycket tacksamma för den hjälp som vi nu kan få in. Vi håller på att sätta ihop en organisation för att göra en plan för det korta och långsiktiga arbetet.

Tack för alla bidrag, det är fantastiskt att se alla små som stora bidrag strömma in och bli till en hel Dnipro.

We finally got direct contact with the villagers!
They salute you all so much!
The residents of the village are very relieved to be freed. They still have no electricity and therefore no water. But the situation is also very uncertain. The Ukrainian troops are outside the village while the Russian troops are on the other side of the Dnipro River. So there is shelling from both sides happening over the village. A few shells have hit the village. A couple of houses have been hit and at least one man has been killed. Some villagers have therefore chosen to leave.
Last Sunday, a family, who were on their way from the village, ran over a mine. The family, of which a little boy was badly injured. They are now in hospital and will receive help from our fundraiser.
We are now collaborating with the aid organization OperationAid, which is on the ground at the front line. We have spoken to Tilde there, who will drive in a slightly larger aid shipment today, with supplies that the villagers need.
They are very grateful for the help that we can now get. We are putting together an organization to make a plan for the short and long-term work.
